I’m Márisson Fraga, the writer behind this blog. I hold a degree in Accounting Sciences, am a Psychoanalyst, DISC Behavioral Analyst, and have postgraduate studies in (1) Creative Mythology, (2) Neuropsychology, and (3) Anthropology. From a young age, I was captivated by the legends shared by my parents and former neighbors, stories that shaped my fascination with folklore.
This project began with the goal of preserving and documenting the many ghost stories, urban legends, and rural myths found throughout Recife and its Metropolitan Area. We believe that by sharing these tales (or stories), we help keep our traditions alive—honoring our history, our identity, and Recife’s title as the Most Haunted City in Brazil. Passed down orally by our ancestors, these legends—whether implicitly or explicitly—reveal their fears, perspectives, and ways of interpreting the world, leaving us clues to better understand their lives and cultures.
Sincerely,
MÁRISSON FRAGA
